Cucugnan, en savoir plus...

You may have already heard of Cucugnan. It’s a small village located in the Corbières area which became famous thanks to Alphonse Daudet’s tale, “Le cure de Cucugnan” (the priest of Cucugnan). You will be able to attend the priest’s sermon at the “Théâtre Achille Mir” where shows are presented all year round.

The village

Located in the heart of the vineyards of Corbières, Cucugnan is also on the way to the Cathar castles and more particularly at the foot of the castle of Quéribus.

If you follow the wine trail, you will go through the steep vineyards of the Cathar country.

The medieval fortresses that were built in the Corbières make the wealth of the local heritage. Guided visits of the castles are proposed all year round.
Between May and August, a festival named “Les Médiévales” in Duilhac will take you back to the time of knights.
